The Grace Interviews

My daughter Grace and I talk a lot about outdoors vs. indoors. We wonder whether anyone can ever truly get the balance right and also if the experiences of childhood determines future connection to nature. So, we’re undertaking a social experiment to try and discover what other people feel about outdoors and whether they liked spending time there as kids. We’ve devised a series of questions to ask some of Australia’s highest profile people.

We want to provoke national dialogue on the value of outdoors and unstructured play in a child’s life. We also hope that in so doing we can encourage Australia’s thought-leaders to support environmental education, outdoor schools and nature-based learning.
